Village of Monroe Election & "Monroe Commons" Decision by Planning Board is TODAY
Village residents are reminded to vote today, all Monroe residents are reminded to attend the Planning Board meeting at 6pm.
Today’s a big day in Monroe. So, this is a very short post.
If you are a resident of the Village of Monroe, polls are now open for the local Village Board elections. There are two candidates, John Karl and Debra Behringer, who are on the ballot.
However, as noted yesterday, all because someone looks like they’re running unopposed, doesn’t mean that’s actually the case.
So it’s important that you get out and vote today. The polls close at 9pm. Voting can be done at Village Hall (7 Stage Road.)
Also tonight: The Monroe Town Planning Board will meet to discuss the Monroe Commons project. There is NO public comment tonight; however, there IS strength in numbers.
If you oppose the project, I hope you’ll be at the meeting. You don’t need to stay for the whole thing, just the Monroe Commons part, which is up first.
The meeting is tonight at 6pm over at Monroe Town Hall, 1465 Orange Turnpike Monroe, NY 10950
I will be back later today with a much, much longer post detailing the timeline behind Assistant TO the Mayor in South Blooming Grove, Joel Stern, and his activities in the area. They are of note because Mr. Stern is essentially acting as the defacto mayor for residents of SBG, yet little is known about him publicly.
I’d like to fix that.
See you later this afternoon.
