Dorey Houle Spent HOW MUCH on Racist Election Ads?
Hey, did you know there's an election going on? Dorey Houle does, and she's spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to remind you that she's a racist.
We’ve already discussed Orange County’s Alien (Dorey Houle) vs. Predator (James G. Skoufis) situation.
James Skoufis sucks, but he’s less likely to hurt you than Dorey Houle.
So, the trick is to vote for Skoufis on the Working Families Party Line — NOT the Democratic Party line — and then find someone to primary him next year.
Why?
Because if Skoufis loses to Dorey Houle in this election, he’ll just return for the next one. I will bet my life on that.
And if he does? That would mean, in 2026, every reader of The Monroe Gazette will experience the sheer “joy” of Houle vs. Skoufis for the third consecutive time.
And much like the Alien and Predator franchises, these films tend to get worse with every sequel and prequel.
(Yes. I know there are exceptions like “Aliens” and “Prey.” There are always exceptions. But I’ll also remind you that “Alien 3” was fucking awful too, and that’s the one we’re heading for in 2026.)
I don’t want Skoufis to return, and a large, bipartisan group of you feel the same way.
If this group of dissatisfied voters were to join up with those in Northern Orange County — Where they have issues with Skoufis stemming from the CPV Plant and the mega warehouses — then that’s a coalition large enough to stop him dead in his tracks.
So, you can help kill Mr. Skoufis’s political career the correct way by finding someone to primary him next year, all while making sure the New York State Democratic Party hears you loudly and clearly about why Mr. Skoufis should never be elected to any public office ever again.
I’ve already got a mailing list of every registered Working Families Party voter in Orange County.
So, don’t think this is just talk on my part. I don’t fuck around.
That brings us to the subject of today’s story, Dorey Houle.
Mrs. Dorey Houle did not take $10,000 from Clovewood developer representative Joel Stern (and $15,000 from Isaac Eckstein) as Senator Skoufis did.
But Dorey Houle did take $3,000 from Lazer Weiss, who is not only Mr. Joel Stern’s 2nd Assistant Chief of South Blooming Grove Fire Department 1 — yes, the fire company / fire district / unregulated fire department that Joel Stern runs — but also the owner of Total Concrete.
You may remember Mr. Weiss’s Total Concrete from this story, about that retaining wall built without any approval or regulations, endangering the life of at least one resident in South Blooming Grove.
This $3,000 from Lazer Weiss is the single largest campaign contribution Dorey Houle received from an individual in 2024.
It also came just days before Der Fuehrer (Monroe Town Supervisor Tony Cardone) had a total meltdown when Councilwoman Richardson read a letter from the public about stopping the Clovewood development.
Now you know why Cardone freaked out and had the letter reading removed from last week’s Town Board meeting video.
You can see the edit at 1:26:57. (This video edit is currently subject to a major FOIL request and, likely, an Article 78 proceeding.)
That letter Councilwoman Richardson read would have upset Mr. Weiss and Mr. Stern.
It may also upset Chaya Bochner and Mendel Bochner.
Along with Mr. Weiss, the Brochners donated a combined $7,500 on October 9th, 2024—the same week as Mr. Weiss’s donation.
Currently, there is no easily identifiable connection between the Bochners and Joel Stern.
Still, I do wonder how Mr. and Mrs. Bochner feel about Supervisor Tony Cardone’s repeated antisemitic comments directed toward the Haredi that he’s made on WTBQ this year.
(WTBQ, by the way, received a check from Dorey Houle for $4,400 on September 29th. So if you’re wondering why they would allow someone to make antisemitic comments on their station and still invite them back on the air, now you have an answer.)
You may recall those antisemitic radio comments came after Dorey Houle lost to Tim Mitts in the Conservative Party primary, and that Town of Monroe residents paid for the pleasure of allowing Cardone to make those antisemitic remarks on the radio, on behalf of the Houle for State Senate campaign.
So, for Mrs. Dorey Houle to say she has no part of Clovewood and what’s happening in South Blooming Grove?
That claim is total bullshit, and now Southern Orange County residents know why the Town of Monroe won’t join the coalition of municipalities forming to stop the development project.
So, speaking of how much money Mrs. Dorey Houle has taken and spent for this election, today, we’re going to look at the nearly half-million dollars she’s spent on political consultants, ads, and other campaign material.
Did all that money translate into good advertising for her campaign? Nope!
Instead, Orange County residents have been bombarded by racist YouTube ads and other online video ads you might have seen while watching re-runs of “The West Wing” and “Veep” on Max.
Whenever Mrs. Houle’s racist mouth opens on my TV, I hit the mute button. I hope you do the same.
Above: Mrs. Dorey Houle, despite serving as both a Village of Monroe Trustee and Town Councilwoman, has no record of accomplishments to run on despite her extensive time in public office.
So, instead, Houle’s just offering people bad vibes and racism.
$363, 911 on What Exactly?
If you look at the campaign expenditures for Friends of Dorey Houle, there are three organizations that are at the top of that list: Flexpoint Media, and the D.C. area based PT Strategy and FP1 Strategies.
Mrs. Houle spent $143,276 on Flexpoint Media.
$193,635 on PT Strategy.
And another $27,000 on FP1 Strategies.
I’ll remind you that the national average salary for an American is just under $70,000.
That means Dorey Houle spent a year’s salary for at least five of you reading this on racist campaign ads.
That’s also nearly $364,000 spent on political consultants and ad strategy in a district where a decent candidate could win with half that.
Do you think a decent candidate would need to spend that kind of money in a district where they’ve served as an elected official for nearly a decade now?
No way.
FP1 Strategies came up with the copy for Mrs. Houle’s ads.
PT Strategy handled the mailers and other non-TV ads.
Flexpoint Media is responsible for the ads we’re being bombarded with right now on Max and YouTube.
That’s how much Dorey Houle sucks.
Having nothing to run on, but yet again running for State Senate, she had to spend over a quarter of a million dollars on consultants and strategists.
And the best they could come up with was, “Be More Racist.”
Above: Dorey Houle has nothing to say and nothing to run on. So in addition to racism, she wants to tell you what her husband did for a living. But it’s 2024, and who your spouse is, and what they do, doesn’t mean dick.
Although, I do appreciate the bad logic here in implying that Mrs. Houle will somehow be a cop because her husband was one.
That’s just so dumb it’s funny.
I’d just like to point out real quick that I was married to a math teacher. And despite being married to a math teacher, I couldn’t tell you the first thing about linear algebra without having a nervous breakdown.
So, being married to someone with a different profession from yours does not automatically make you qualified to say you’re now part of that profession too.
Be More Racist, Dorey
In this article, you’ve now seen a bunch of these Dorey Houle ads.
Now let me tell you why they suck. Starting with …
Instead of saying, “James Skoufis took $10,000 from a man terrorizing all the Towns and Villages in Southern Orange County and then lied about it” or" “James Skoufis tried to consolidate a Town and Village in Woodbury to further the interests of local real estate developers despite objections from the public” Houle spends 99% of the ad instead talking about …
- “weak bail laws” (fact check: There’s no evidence to suggest the bail reform laws increased crime in New York State. Also worth noting: Houle pal, Corrupt County Executive Steve Neuahuas, has repeatedly made this false claim about the bail laws, too.
Proving that Mrs. Houle has no ideas of her own and borrows the ones she likes from her racist friends. Is that someone you want representing you in the State Senate?)
-that her opponent is “soft on crime” (Fact check: That’s true for White Collar Crime. But that’s not the kind of crime Mrs. Houle discusses in these advertisements.
Dorey Houle could have said, “James Skoufis is in the pocket of white-collar criminals.” That would have been a factually accurate statement, and a winning message.
The thing is … According to the FBI, most White Collar criminals are white, so Mrs. Houle didn’t bother to take that route.
-Houle said that the bail law puts “dangerous criminals back on the street” (again, not true. In fact, violent crime has been dropping dramatically since 2022 all across America. That doesn’t mean the NYS Bail Reform law is perfect. It’s most certainly not. But claiming the law is making the state less safe in spite of data saying crime is dropping is hilariously false.
It’s also racist because New York State disproportionately incarcerates its non-white residents, which is what the Bail Reform Law is meant to address.
So, again, not perfect, but Mrs. Houle is drawing a straight line between bail reform and a phantom increase in crime that will take you straight to a KKK meeting if you follow it.
-Houle said she’s going to “get tough on illegal immigration” despite being thousands of miles from the Southern Border.
You know who has the power to fix the Border? Congress.
You know who does NOT have the power to fix the Border? A State Senator from Orange County, New York.
More embarrassingly, Houle’s running to be a State Senator, right?
But she’s said NOTHING about the border problems in Northern New York right now. That’s something that’s happening right now, and directly falls under her purview as a wannabe State Senator, but guess what border she’s talking about?
Hint: It’s not the Border Crossings up past Massena, Malone, Plattsburgh, and out west in Niagra and Buffalo.
This raises another important Border question: Does Dorey Houle know that New York shares a border with Canada and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe?
Does she even know that Native land is not part of New York State?
These are questions a State Senator should be able to answer about our own border.
So remember kids: New York State does have a Border Problem, but it’s just not the one Mrs. Houle is talking about.
-Finally, Mrs. Houle threatens to put “the bad guys behind bars.” But if you’re listening closely, you’ll know by bad guys, she means black and brown people.
Because Mrs. Houle has zero interest in pursuing the white-collar criminal fucks who are making life uncomfortable and unaffordable for the rest of us.
If anything, she plans to make it easy for the real criminals to continue doing what they’re doing and turn a profit.
Did you catch that line in the ad about cutting taxes?
She ain’t cutting them for you!
This is all a long way of saying: James Skoufis sucks, but Dorey Houle is worse. And the fact that she’s spent over a quarter of a million dollars on racist ads proves it.
So, help me help you:
-Vote for Skoufis on the Working Families Party line.
-Send Dorey Houle packing into whatever cave she crawled out of, hopefully for good this time.
- Let’s work together to find someone to primary Skoufis next year so that this Alien vs. Predator shit never happens again.
Go vote. Polls are open.
You know, I heard an ad from her on one of the cable channels and I thought "really? a local candidate for state senator is running ads on (Hallmark)?" Not sure if it was that channel exactly but it was one of the more well known channels. Then I thought, "where'd she get the money for THAT?"
